Authorize the Executive Director to Purchase Field Safety Netting and Engineered Poll Support System Capital Repairs for the Diamond Stadium Netting Project (CIP PROJECT #rdaZ20003).
Recommended Action
1. Authorize the Executive Director to execute a purchase order to Collins Company for the Field Safety Netting in an amount not to exceed $89,995.00;
2. Authorize the Executive Director to execute a purchase order to Wolverine Fence Company, Inc. for the Engineered Poll Support System in an amount not to exceed $68,000.00; and
3. Waive the formal bidding process per Municipal Code Section 3.08.070(G) for purchases from the Collins Company and Wolverine Fence since it is their netting system (designed and built) they installed at the stadium that requires repair. To utilize other vendors would likely require a significant investment in replacing components beyond what is needed to repair the system.
